About Jordan
I’m Jordan Korgood, a progressive leftist running to represent Massachusetts' 4th District for Governor’s Council.
I’m a marine biologist for the MA Division of Marine Fisheries, a former minimum wage employee, a transgender woman, and renter in Boston running to make Massachusetts’ judicial system a better and more equitable place for all. I have personal experience with the judicial system here in Massachusetts–having been arrested as a student protestor in 2024 for asserting my 1st Amendment rights to free speech. I am painfully aware of the nepotism and political game-playing that governs our state politics, which is so often dominated by elderly and out-of-touch career politicians. I’m running to do something about it.
I am not a 'politician', but I am keenly aware of the issues impacting Massachusetts' residents today and of the flaws with our current judicial system.
Over the last 6 and a half years I’ve lived in Boston, I’ve engaged with and been a part of all sorts of communities–from the DIY music scene to local activism and protest groups to the artists and creatives. Unlike the current incumbent, I don’t live in a $6,000 square foot home, nor do I operate or lead a 100+ person law firm. I live with roommates in a beautiful, small rented house on the JP/Roxbury border and I’ve never had more than a couple of thousand dollars in my checking account. What I do have, however, is drive, motivation, and chutzpah (as my late Bubbe would say-may she rest in peace), What I lack in political or technical experience, I make up for in my willingness to listen to the community and bring their voice back into the Council's chamber.
